Everything you pay for, on one receipt.
Subtotal is a free iPhone app that adds up your subscriptions. You pick logos out of a catalog of 587 services and it does the math. It never sees your bank.

Octo’s demo ledger has eleven things on it. None of them are strange. One of them is a gym he last visited in March.
$0.00a month
Nobody decided to spend that. It accrued. The whole app exists so you see the number on purpose.
Adding one takes two taps.
Search, tap the logo, tap Add. The price and the plan come from the catalog. Fix anything later.
What it costs you.
ItemizedFree, with nothing behind a paywall. Your ledger lives on your phone and in your own iCloud, where the person who made the app can’t see it.
Build yours.
Type what you pay for. Octo prints the receipt.
Tap a line on the tape to change the plan. The number updates as you go.
US list prices from the catalog, always editable in the app. Your picks stay in this browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
Carbon copy.
Dark mode is the same receipt printed through carbon paper. The layout changes with the screen, so an iPhone Duo folds between a one-column phone and a two-page book.
The app only looks at the size class, never the device. Fold the phone and the page count changes. That’s the whole trick.
Why this exists. Every subscription tracker I tried wanted my bank password and a subscription of its own. This one wants neither. I made it for me, and it turned out to be the kind of thing other people wanted too. Ali, Los Angeles.
