Support
Subtotal is made by one person, so you get the person. Email support with what happened and which device you’re on, and you’ll get a reply from the same inbox that ships the updates.
Things people ask
No trial, no Pro tier, nothing unlocked by paying. Everything in the app is in the free app because there is only the one.
You add subscriptions by picking them from the catalog or typing a name. That is the whole method, and it is why the app has nothing worth stealing.
Catalog prices are US list prices as of October 2026 and they are only suggestions. Every amount, plan and date is editable on the subscription’s receipt. If a price is plainly out of date, email and it gets fixed in the next catalog update.
Search for it, then choose “Add” with the name you typed. Custom services get a name, a price, a category and an icon, and they count toward the subtotal like anything else. Send the name along and it may show up in the catalog later.
Sync goes through your own iCloud. Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account and that iCloud is on for Subtotal in Settings. It can take a minute after a change.
A delete shows an Undo button for a few seconds. After that it is gone, which is why archiving exists: an archived subscription drops out of the total but stays in the list.
